The Highway Code - Most drivers do not know about the new rules for motorists…

The Highway Code has been updated, and there are new rules, with heavy penalties to enforce them…
There is a new hierarchy of road users, with new rules on who has priority at junctions…
And it’s not car drivers!
The rule now is that car drivers must “give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning… and you MUST give way to pedestrians on a zebra crossing”…. (Rule H2).

And… you must NOT drive on to the Zebra Crossing until after THE PEDESTRIAN HAS CLEARED THE ENTIRE CROSSING. Penalties include fines of £100 AND 3 PENALTY POINT ON YOUR LICENCE!
I have been representing drivers in Court on motoring matters for many years, be it excess alcohol, a failure to renew insurance in time, speeding points…. 12 points, facing disqualification… with great success.
If your licence and/or your livelihood is in danger, get in touch with me to discuss possible defences! If you fall foul of the law, in this or any other regard, call James Kirby on 074-9080-7766.
