Other Areas of Professional Work

Training

For many years, I have been involved in the training of other legal professionals:

​

• Training junior barristers in advocacy 

• Guiding solicitors due to take the judge's exams

• Helping expert witnesses or other professionals prepare to give evidence in court

Teaching

For a number of years I was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth, teaching criminal law, expert evidence and advocacy

Media

On local and national media, (TV & Radio) I have been asked to give legal analysis, as well as comment, on legal issues affecting our communities.

​

I also advised the BBC's Rough Justice programme on the safety of murder conviction, which was then successfully overturned in the Court of Appeal.
